The Unified Patent Court (UPC) began its existence as an international organisation on 19 February 2022. It is expected that the
court will be fully operational in the first quarter of 2023.
In order for you to be prepared for the proceedings before the UPC, we have set up this new half-day online course. First you will first get the essentials on the UPC before our two leading legal practitioners will discuss tactical and strategic UPC considerations with you.
The highlight of this course is the UPC Mock Trial where they will be joined by Dr Matthias Zigann as UPC judge. Together they will bring the UPC and its rules to life with this mock trial. The learning outcome of this is particularly high as you will see the UPC in action.
Do you work in a corporate legal, IP or patent department or as a patent attorney or attorney-at-law in private practice and would like to be prepared for the first trials before the Unified Patent Court? Then this is the right course for you. Knowledge of patent law is a prerequisite.
