Mustafa Çakir is an RTTP, QPIP Certified industrial engineer with 15 years of experience in patent valuation, patent portfolio management, and patent commercialization strategies. He co-founded Patent Effect and Patentiv GmbH. Patentiv, supported by Berlin Senate, delivers fast, reliable, and cost-efficient patent valuation & monetization solutions with AI. He founded "Patent Raporu", Turkey's largest patent community with more than 10.000 members. He serves on the Board of LES Turkey (the previous president) and is recognized by IAM as one of the World's Leading 300 IP Strategists (2022-2025). He completed practical tech transfer work at NIH, UCLB, and Cambridge Enterprise, and chairs the RTTP Peer Review Committee at ATTP.

This masterclass shows how to integrate AI into patent portfolio management and invention development. You learn AI-supported problem identification, idea generation, rapid novelty checks and trend analysis, and leave with a practical, repeatable workflow for stronger IP and innovation decisions.
This masterclass equips you to integrate AI systematically into patent portfolio management and your organization’s innovation and IP strategy. You will learn how to match AI tool capabilities to concrete IP workflows. Building on this, you will evaluate existing patents and trends to understand patterns of challenges, apply AI-assisted TRIZ methods to surface contradictions and generate solution concepts, and perform quick novelty checks through AI-guided query design and rapid database screening. The day ends in a practical mini-hackathon to consolidate methods on realistic use cases, enabling you to leave with a repeatable playbook for AI-enabled invention development and portfolio decision-making.
A feature of this online course is the restriction of the number of participants to 20, enabling a more intensive learning experience.
For the exercises in the masterclass, it is useful for participants to be able to use chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, ideally in a pro version. Microsoft Copilot is less recommended. Participation with an additional monitor is also recommended.
